Commonwealth War Graves Commission Records state the rank of ROBERT DUNLOP DAVIDSON as Pilot Officer, other records* state his rank as Flight Sergeant.

 

Pilot Officer ROBERT DUNLOP DAVIDSON was flying with 401 (Royal Canadian Air Force) Squadron on an armed reconnaissance mission, in his Supermarine Spitfire, Mark LFIX MJ428 (built at Castle Bromwich Aircraft Factory), when he was shot down by a Fokkerwolf FW 190s south of Caen.1
