Pilot Officer ROBERT DUNLOP DAVIDSON was flying with 401 (Royal Canadian Air Force) Squadron on an armed reconnaissance mission, in his Supermarine Spitfire, Mark LFIX MJ428 (built at Castle Bromwich Aircraft Factory), when he was shot down by a Fokkerwolf FW 190s south of Caen.1
