NORMAN PETER ELLIS was born in Forest Gate, West Ham, London on the 25th May 1924. He married Kitty on his 20th brithday in 1944.

 

Following his death, it is recorded in the family that, he was buried in a churchyard at Le Noyer, near Surville, 20 miles West of the River Seine with the local Marquis in attendance.1 Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Graves Concentration Reort Form (Report No. BAOR/Conc 4790) states his previous location of grave was: Near 'MANSELLES France (Sh8F/4 1/50,000 920677)'. To date neither of these places have been precidely located. After the war Trooper NORMAN PETER ELLIS was reinterred in Saint Desir War Cemetery.
