Master of Arts (MA), Cambridge (CANTAB). Captain FREDERICK CHARLES 'Freddie' SCHOLES was serving as General Staff Officer 3 (GSO 3) with the 6th Airborne Division Headquarters. He became General Staff Officer 2 (GSO 2) from the 6th June 1944. He was killed by artillery fire on the 16th June 1944.1
