Commonwealth War Graves Commission records state that is unit was 1/8 Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. Grave Concentration records state his unit is 8 Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. Given that there there are no Order of Battle references to 1/8 Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, after 1st October 1942,2 it is assumed that 8 Battalion, Middlesex Regiment is the correct unit.
