Location: On the D7, Rue de Liberté, in the north-east of Avranches. Avranches is on the west coast of Normandy.
 

5 burials

5 aircrew, killed in 1943, from a Short Sterling Mk 1 of No.90 Squadron

(flying out of RAF Tuddenham, Suffolk, England) rest in a collective grave in this cemetery.

4 are from the Royal Air Force, 1 is from the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

 

The graves can be found in plot 3(p) in the north east corner of the cemetery. In this plot are 3 identified civilians (Juliette Allix, Emile Barbe and Jean Conan) and a memorial to the unknown victims who were killed during the bombardment in 1944. Of the French military burials in this plot, there are 3 who died in 1940, 1 in 1941, 2 in 1944 and 2 in 1945.
