Location: From the N13, Sur la Route Nationale, take the D217, signposted for Putot en Bessin, heading south-west. About ¾ miles (1.2 kilometres) along, just after crossing the railway bridge, take the first right onto Rue Bretteville (note weight limit of 3.5 tonnes), heavier vehicles should continue along the D217 for about 500 yards and take a right at the next cross-roads onto Rue de la Limare (subject to any new weight restrictions being added from the time of this information being published). Both roads converge at the crossroads in Brouay. Take the Rue de L'Église, to the right of the Marie, and about 200 yards (180 metres) after going under the railway bridge, Brouay Church is on your right. Broary War Cemetery is accessed via some steps leading to a stone gateway in the eastern corner of the churchyard. Brouay is about 1 mile to the west of Putot-en-Bessin and 8 miles (12.8 kilometres) to the south-east of Bayeux War Cemetery.

Cemetery and Casualty Information
The cemetery was designed by architect Philip D. Hepworth and was built and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The majority of the men buried in this cemetery (317) were killed in July and August 1944 during the capture of Caen and the closing of the Falaise Gap. There are no D-Day, Tuesday 6th June 1944, Casualties.
Casualties range from 18 to 46 years of age. Among those buried in this cemetery are 2 who also had brothers who were killed, and 1 who lost 2 brothers, elsewhere during the Second World War.
